Most benefits plans contain coverage for speech-language pathology services.

We recommend you check your personal or employee policy to find out how much coverage you have and how it is structured, as every plan is different.

Some speech and language therapy approaches require parent training in order to assist in facilitating home speech and language practice for their child. In this case, the speech therapy session may be eligible to be billed or claimed under the parent's name.  This can extend your child's benefit coverage.

Many insurance plans also have a Personal Health Spending account which can be put toward speech and language therapy.

If your child has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) they may also be eligible for funding through the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). Learn more about the program here and about one time interim funding here.
